Young Abe Lincoln and Young Ann Rutledge statue

Original sculpture by artist and dioramist the late Art Sieving. 10" x 19" Carved while he was a sculptor for the Illinois State Museum before 1970. Given to Phil Wagner by the Widow Blanche Sieving. It was a display item at the Long Nine Museum, Athens, Illinois. Phil Wagner was responsible for Mr. Sieving making a will and giving his 2nd wife their home.
This wood carving has been molded to create plaster castings of Young Abe Lincoln and Ann Rutledge. A few were distributed in Washington D.C. by Congressman Paul Findley. There are about 25 castings in circulation.
