Description:
The emblem was used for the front cover logo for the booklet published
by State of Illinois Military and Naval Department Public Affairs
and Retention - Recruiting Sections.
The 34
page booklet was authored by Dr. Wayne C. Temple. Lincoln was a
Captain and Grant was a Colonel in the Illinois Militia. Phil Wagner
commissioned Ostendorf to complete this ink artwork logo.
