Subject: The 'walking' young Abe Lincoln in Illinois on the Lincoln Heritage Trail. In new Salem, young Abe was a student, store keeper, surveyor, soldier, riverman, legislator and postmaster.

Description: Lincoln is walking, reading and carrying books, with a tree and log cabin in background.

This is one of three original 'walking' Lincoln's which were used to illustrate young Abe Lincoln coming from Kentucky to Indiana to Illinois. Researched by Dr. Wayne Temple.

'Logos' of these three original 'walking' Lincoln's were placed on a limited issue of Lincoln post cards.

Walking in Illinois, "Here I have lived...and have passed from a young to an old man."

              This original also become one of four of the 'Long Nine Collection'

Prints: (440 available) 11 1/2" x 14" prints made by Donnelley Press in Chicago, Illinois. They used double-dot printing, and the prints look like the originals. $5.00 each
