The two candidates are on stage together with audience
below. Trees and flag are in the background. Representative Robert
L. Wilson was a college graduate, a teacher and lawyer. He and Abraham
Lincoln traveled some 80 miles by stage together to and from the
Illinois State Capitol. Robert Wilson went to Washington, D.C. at
the outbreak of the Civil War and was with the first security troops
to guard the President. Researched by Dr. Wayne Temple.
