Subject: Abraham Lincoln purchases a bridle

Description: On February 23, 1836, Abraham Lincoln began to trade with John Bennett at his Petersburg, Illinois store, and continued to do so until moving to Springfield on April 15, 1837. The account book reveals he bought a bridle, among other necessities.
