2010 City Ornament The Colonnade at University of Illinois Springfield The 2010 edition of the Springfield city ornament series celebrates the 40th anniversary of the University of Illinois Springfield. Established in 1970 and originally called Sangamon State University, UIS is a liberal arts university that offers small class size, high-quality academic programs, and personal interaction between professors and students. The beautiful colonnade is the focal point of the Universitys quad. It is 23 feet high and consists of 12 pillars arranged in a circle 44 feet in diameter. Each 24-karat gold-plated ornament is accompanied by a signed and numbered certificate. Edition limited to 5,000 ornaments. Please allow three - four weeks for delivery. |
